A client's next chapter can begin with a single question. What would life look like somewhere else? For their advisers, that question reaches far beyond a change of address. It opens a conversation about family, wealth, and the future.

00:15 — The opportunity

A departure brings together residency, property, business interests, family ties, and long term intentions. Before a firm can evaluate the options, it needs a clear picture of the facts. Too often, that picture is spread across emails, notes, and repeated conversations.

00:33 — For your practice

Exit Global Business gives wealth managers, family offices, accounting practices, law firms, and trust companies a structured starting point. Bring the relevant client information together, identify open questions, and create a more focused basis for the professional work your firm is appointed to do.

00:53 — For your practice

The firm workflow supports clients departing Canada, the United States, or the United Kingdom, with international destinations alongside each file. The departure jurisdiction describes the client's planning context, which may differ from nationality. Let's follow an illustrative Canadian client through the workspace.

01:14 — 01 · Access your workspace

At exit global dot app slash business, choose Create account. Enter your work email and password, then confirm your email using the link you receive. If you already have an account, select Sign in. Your individual login administers the firm workspace.

01:31 — 02 · Establish your practice

At first login, enter the firm name and choose the appropriate firm type. Accounting and law have dedicated options. Wealth managers, family offices, and trust companies can use the wealth management and service provider category. Create the workspace to begin your client portfolio.

01:50 — 03 · Open a client file

Select Add client. Use a client name or internal label, choose Canada as the departure jurisdiction, and add an internal reference if useful. Confirm that you are authorised to prepare and store the information. Create client file saves this context and opens the matching planner.

02:09 — 04 · Set the planning context

Confirm the destination and the timing of the intended move. In our example, the client is considering Panama. If the destination is still undecided, keep that uncertainty visible. For United States matters, the planner also distinguishes an international move from a move between states.

02:28 — 05 · Prepare the client facts

Work through the relevant country questions with the client. Record what is known about homes, family, work, assets, and continuing connections. Use the action checklist to organise next steps. Complete the facts you can support, and leave unresolved matters for follow up and professional assessment.

02:48 — 06 · Save your working plan

Choose Save client plan to retain the working record, or Save and return to clients to go back to the portfolio. Saving a working draft moves it to In progress. Reopen the client later to continue from the saved information, rather than reconstructing the conversation.

03:05 — 07 · Prepare for review

When preparation is ready, open Firm review and choose Save and mark ready for review. Confirm that you have checked the working plan and identified the matters requiring attention. This is a workflow status, not a tax or legal conclusion. Later saved changes return the file to In progress.

03:25 — 08 · Manage the portfolio

Back in the portfolio, search by client name or reference. Filter by jurisdiction and status, or sort by the most recent update. This helps you find the right file and distinguish active preparation from matters ready for your firm's review. Archived records remain accessible through the status filter.

03:45 — The value for your firm

For wealth managers and family offices, organised facts support a broader planning conversation. For accountants and lawyers, they help frame the assessment and scope of work. For trust companies, they can inform the questions to take into specialist structuring and succession discussions.

04:03 — Beyond relocation

The practice resources also link to Estate Global, a separate service for exploring trusts, foundations, wills, and succession planning. Use those resources to identify related questions and potential mandates. Your firm determines which work falls within its expertise and which needs another specialist.

04:23 — Your professional judgment

The value is a more consistent preparation process, with the adviser leading the engagement. Your firm defines the scope, obtains client authority, and reaches its own professional conclusions. Bring greater structure to the preparation, while keeping professional judgment at the centre of every client matter.

04:43 — Start your first client file

Start with one client matter. Establish your firm workspace, prepare the facts, and see how a repeatable workflow fits your practice. Bring a wider perspective to the relationship you already have. Visit exit global dot app slash business to begin.
